This blog is the space for my classes to respond to readings, discussions, and encounters with pop culture. The topics will tend to shift by semester according to my courses, but they will share themes related to cultural processes, production, representation, and consumption.

Pop Culture website
I agree with Amanda as far as my initial response to the website. When I think about pop culture I expect it to be bright and entertaining. But the site seemed very plain and slightly lack luster; however, it does give a very adequate initiation to all things pop culture. The prompts to the left of the home page screen lead you on a guided exploration of the various topics. Guidance is important when dealing with the internet (because it's very easy to get lost, frustrated, and give you things that aren't of any use), which is why I feel that this site could be helpful to us during our research.

I agree with what you mentioned as well as to Amanda's comment about the initial response. My first initial shout out "this kills." I thought the overall site wasn't bright and entertaining at all but then again, when I focused on different culture aspects; there are a few out there where bright colors and flashing lights aren't visible to certain cultures due to government control. You're right about guidance when dealing with the internet since I was lost while figuring out this blog and the use of it. A traditional oak old frog that I am at certain mmoments
